Thursday Night Showcase goes tonight
The Thursday Night Showcase returns to the cozy confines of Smith and Company Coffee House in Penticton tonight at 8 p.m. This is the second concert for a series of events featuring local talent. Summerland Fruit plant shutting down, 40 jobs lost
A fruit snack company in Summerland will be closing its doors here at the end of May. On Tuesday, SunOpta Healthy Fruit Snacks announced the pending closure of its Summerland facilities on May 28. RCMP seize drugs headed for the Lower Mainland

Penticton Murder suspect convicted previously in death of child
The man charged with killing 53-year-old Terrence Dale Wooley outside a Penticton pub last year was convicted of beating a three-year-old girl to death in Kingston, Ont., in 1999. In March of 2002, Michael Richard Beauchamp, then 31, was given five years for the crime. 3/11/2010 5:19:19 AM
Osoyoos toughens it's stance on boating and water

Olympic experience amazing for Justin Kripps

Vandalism was the topic of a discussion at Keremeos council meeting. A Penticton man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the homicide death of 53-year-old Terrence Dale Wooley. Penticton: Teenager pleads guilty in slaying
A Penticton teenager charged with the stabbing death of a 25-year-old man near Skaha Beach almost two years ago has pled guilty to manslaughter. The tender for Phase 1 of the Northwest Sector Sewer Project has been assigned and that means shovels will likely be in the ground within the next two weeks. Cawston family makes additional generous donation to Keremeos Health Centre
Gurdial Singh Dhaliwal of Cawston was grateful for the treatment he received from the Keremeos Diagnostic and Treatment Centre. Gurdial made a donation of $10,000 to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation. He passed away last month.
